Position:            Field Sales Engineer - New Business Development

Hunter Cable Assembly (HCAL) has a continuing history of rapid business growth and in order to accelerate that growth is seeking a bright and determined sales engineer to be a part of our small and dynamic sales team.  Your remit will be to increase the growth of the business by identifying and winning new customers.

The ideal candidate will have a technical appreciation of cable assemblies and will have succeeded in business development previously.  However, whilst field sales experience is preferred, candidates with the aptitude to learn quickly and succeed will be considered.

Clearly the ability to identify and qualify appropriate customers and to gain their confidence is an important attribute.  Hence it is essential to be confident and articulate especially when contacting those new customers.

Key attributes

• A technical appreciation of cable assemblies (or connectors) would be desirable

• Disciplined, articulate, quick to learn

• Good presentation skills

• Good knowledge of  Microsoft Office especially Excel and Word

• An understanding of good business practices eg gross profit margin, works cost, economic batch size etc

• Some technical qualification / experience - HND or technical degree would be advantageous

Reporting

The position reports to the Sales Director
